This is the first Deke Gannon book that I have read but it won't be the last. The writing is taut and the storyline maintains a good pace throughout. The plot is believable given the current state of world affairs and both the dialogue and actions of the characters are believable. Without giving away too much of the plot it involves nasty groups of people attempting to do in the American president in order to further their aims.Product details

Two long years since Deke Gannon appeared in Sound of Shadows and that's too long. September Shadows is a gripping account of post 9/11 efforts by Deke and Cross to find and cancel terrorist efforts to murder America's President. A techno-thriller filled with action and plot twists with a little romance in the mix. Hope we don't have to wait another two years to follow Deke in a new adventure.
Mr. Millis has a wonderful way of writing, that even a woman can enjoy his techno-thrillers, due to his adding the romance in a tasteful and sensitive way.
When I read his books, I can actually see, hear, feel, and taste all that the author describes. His writing style is very rich and stimulates the imagination to feel as though one is on the scene. I have found his books to be more "audio-visual" than watching a film....but, I think they would make great movies!
Details are accurate and well researched to make his books believable and plausible! I recommend his books highly if you enjoy adventure as well as suspense, drama, and romance.
