Breesan Maxwell is a mess. Sure she looks gorgeous and like she has it all together, but inside she is completely distressed. No one is left in her life that loves her (she thinks) and she doesn't want anyone to get to close for fear that they will be taken away too. She's home for the first summer since she was child and she's determined not to let her bitch of a step-m0ther ruin her time their before college. What she doesn't plan for is meeting the Walker brothers or what happens after.Marcus and Morgan Walker are twins who have spent their time abroad in England except for the summertime. They have come home to help with the family business. Morgan is a player who won't settle down and Marcus has had his heart shattered by the last woman he gave it to. She cheated on him - with his brother! So, Morgan and Marcus do not get along and are not talking to each other because of it. Then, Breesan comes into the picture. Morgan wants her, but as a plaything and Marcus wants her, but his current career path is a major obstacle.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was involved early on in the process when Marie was writing the book. I had gotten the story chapters at a time and things were revised a lot. My BFF Venture got involved as a beta reader and helped Marie with the chapters. I got to read it again after it was mostly finished. It was really different, but not in a bad way. I don't generally read romance and I'm not generally a huge fan of the genre. But, like I told Marie, Be All is NOT a romance - it is SO much more! This story has romance, intrigue, drama, comedy and tragedy. I love that about this book. It has depth to it that goes beyond the traditional romance story.
I truly, truly, truly can not say enough about this book. Even though it is Marie's first book, it doesn't read that way. She is so adept at weaving the stories that these poor screwed up people have to tell. She is descriptive without being wordy; vivid without being cliche; sultry without being gawdy. The sexy parts have the right amount of sex - not too much and not prudish. I love that. I also love the fact that even though the main character professes that she won't give up her heart, she doesn't! I have read so many books where the main character says "No one can have my heart!" just to jump into bed with someone and be head over heels in love with them by the second chapter! I am so glad that as you are reading the book you don't know if she EVER will let herself feel love. Everything that happens is a complete surprise. There are many secrets and foreshadowing that happens, and Marie doesn't let you know what is going to happen by the end of book 1. Book 2 is on my high anticipation list and it doesn't come out until November.

I thought this book was rather long...and I'm still not quite sure what the main point of the book was....was it agrees an being emotionally closed off? Was it Marcus and his work as an undercover DEA agent investigating Breesans stepmother? And I'm not quite sure where Morgan's story factors into all this. I liked the romantic triangle the author attempted to make between Breesans, Marcus and Morgan, but it was so clear that Breesans and Marcus had the connection, it made the interactions between Breesans and Morgan kinda pointless. I think Morgan's character interested me more, with his thoughts and feelings regrading Waverly. If there is more focus on them in book 2, I'd be more interested in that.
Yes, this is a 4.5 STARS for me. This book had my anxiety levels high threw the whole book. I needed to stop and take breaks. What the author did in this book is brilliant. She kept nothing about the characters secret. We knew who they were, what they were thinking, and what their intentions were. What we didn't know was what, how, or when it was gonna happen. We knew who would be best for Breesan but not who she would end up with. So, even with all the information we had we had no way of knowing what or how it go. That just drove me insane.
In my opinion that was truly brilliant. So kudos to Marie Wathen. Their is no way that I will stop with just this book. I now have to read them all. So as soon as I finish this review I will be starting the next book happily.
This book has a great story filled with suspense, love and a lot of drama. There is an excess of description but if you can overlook it the book is good. I recommend this book for someone who wants suspense.
In a reading rut? Tired of the same old love triangle or angsty rockstar? We all know it happens and every now and then you need a little something different to break things up a bit. Be All is a great choice to do just that. The beginings of a great mystery series, it is filled with suspense, intrigue, action and a great romance.

Add on top of that his growing attraction to Breesan and strained relationship with his brother only adds to his turmoil.
Three people closed off to love, relationships and dating how can any one of them find what they need? Sexual tension, misunderstandings and secrets lead to an intense read that will keep you turning the pages.
First time author Marie Wathen did a great job, I throughly enjoyed this book. Reading Be All was like watching a great mystery movie with an infamous Dr. A, a drug with the potential to kill, dreams that may or may not be actual memories, it leaves you guessing and wondering around every corner and eager for the next book in the series.
